Language Arts

Students will begin the recognition of name, sound and picture for short vowels and consonants. Students will also begin to learn the formation of vowels and consonants in upper and lowercase.

Phonics

Students will focus on recognition of name, sound, and picture of long and short vowels and consonants. Students will also focus on the sounding of blends and one and two vowel words. We will learn how to read sentences and stories with one and two word vowels.

Poetry

Students will be introduced to poems and finger plays that will be committed to helping our students with memorization.

Numbers

Students will practice simple counting using numbers 1-30. Students will also practice number concepts using numbers 1-15.  Students will also focus on number recognition and counting value 1-100. Students will continue learning number concepts 1-20. Students will also focus on numbers before and after 1-20, numbers largest and smallest and simple addition facts.

Bible

Students will be introduced to popular Bible stories and learn about God's love for his people.

Music/Arts & Crafts

Students will focus on learning hand/eye coordination by clapping and using simple hand movements in songs. Students will also focus on colors, shapes & following directions.  Students will also be introduced to fun and traditional songs that will include simple movements. During art students will focus on the development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting and gluing.
