The Judah Academy

The Judah Academy is a Pre-School program that seeks to provide students ages 2.5 -5 with a quality Christian based early childhood education that fosters confidence, encourages active parental engagement and cultivates independent thought while also helping our students reach for high standards in academic success and leadership. In our program students are introduced to topics such as phonics, reading, science, mathematics, history, music and art all while playing. Each of our activities are tailored to fit the needs of the age groups we serve. Each day students will have the chance to participate in activities that will help to strengthen and develop their fine/gross motor skills, build social skills and develop their critical thinking skills. Our students benefit from 1 on 1 personalized attention from our teachers. We have a low student teacher ratio and we also have assistant teachers who will serve as a help to our students and lead teachers as well as help with any needs. Lead teachers are in charge of creating/ following lesson plans that are especially tailored for our students. Lead teachers and assistant teachers  work together to create and maintain a creative and inviting classroom environment that is conducive for learning. All Teachers  work together as a unit to provide students with the best educational experience possible. The Judah Academy is dedicated to helping your child love learning. OUR HISTORY

The Judah Academy was founded in order to set high standards of academic success and active parental engagement for inner city students.  Many students in NYC attend Public Schools that are barely meeting standards or that are far below standards and because of this many students are performing below standards. The Judah Academy was created to help students begin the process of belief in oneself through positive affirmation and recognize the importance of education. Being located in an urban neighborhood has helped us to recognize the need for a school that will challenge students and help them to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills at an early age. There are many negative influences out there that have tried to grab a hold of our youth but The Judah Academy is dedicated to reclaiming them back and helping them to realize their potential. Before many children can count to 20 they are learning the latest pop song or dance move. As a result of this , many students have not even begin to tap into the potential that lies within them making it hard for them to become leaders and proficient readers and writers. Many youth are deterred from furthering their education because they have been told that they don’t have what it takes to be “somebody”. The Judah Academy hopes to transform communities one child, one family at a time. We will strive hard to bring out the achiever in every child!
